A silver ring is one of the most personal pieces of jewellery a man can wear. Unlike a watch or a bracelet, a ring sits close to the skin, catches light at every movement, and tells a story without words. But with so many styles available, how do you choose the right one?
Know Your Style First
Silver rings for men fall into a few clear categories. Signet rings are flat-topped and bold, good for men who want presence without excess. Band rings are simple and stackable, the choice for a minimalist. Sculptural rings, carved with texture or symbols, are for men who want their jewellery to mean something specific.
At THOHT, every ring starts from a symbol: a shell found on the Spanish coast, the geometry of volcanic rock, the spiral of a sea creature. Before choosing a style, ask what you want the ring to say.

Sterling Silver vs Silver-Plated
There is a difference that matters. Sterling silver (marked 925) is 92.5% pure silver, durable and long-lasting. Silver-plated jewellery has a thin coat of silver over a base metal, which wears away over time. All THOHT rings are 925 oxidized sterling silver – the oxidization gives them a darker, raw finish that deepens with wear.
Getting the Right Size
Ring sizes vary by country. The simplest way to measure: wrap a strip of paper around your finger, mark where it meets, measure the length in millimetres. That is your circumference. For THOHT rings, include your size in the order notes and the ring is made to fit.
How to Wear a Silver Ring as a Man
There are no rules, but there is intention. One ring worn with purpose carries more weight than five worn without thought. Many THOHT customers wear a single sculptural ring on the index finger, letting it be the statement. Others stack a minimal band with a signet for texture and contrast.
The most important thing: wear it because it means something to you.
